About This Style

English IPAs are pale ales that are more malty with a higher alcohol content and well-hopped. The leaner the brew, the less amount of malt there is and less need for a strong hop presence.

Food Pairing Notes: Cuisine (Curried, Indian), Meat (Shellfish), Cheese (nutty; Asiago, Colby, Parmesan, sharp; Blue, Cheddar)
