Coffee Beer

About This Style

Coffee Beer is produced by combining coffee with a variety of beers. Some brewers add brewed coffee to the boil, others just before packaging and the rest somewhere in between. If using hot-brewed coffee, especially in styles that are more subtle, a burnt quality can overpower the flavor of the product. Cold-brewed coffee can be added slowly before fermentation to control the taste.
