American Barely Wine

About This Style

American Barley Wine is actually a very instense beer. This amber to dark brown beer is considered fruity and often sweet or bittersweet. The body is thick and the alcohol content is substantial and noticed. Aromas range from intense fruits to intense hops. American versions typically use American high alpha hops for a more bitter and flavored brew. Barley wines are generally aged like wine.
