English Barley Wine

About This Style

English Barley Wine is available in an amber to dark brown color. Considered to be a strong beer, English Barley Wine is generally lively and sweet, sometimes bittersweet and can be a challenge to the palate. English versions tend to be more rounded and balanced between malt and hops with a slightly lower alcohol content.

Food Pairing Notes: Cheese (sharp; Blue, Cheddar, pungent; Gorgonzola, Limburger)
