Old Ale

Old Ale

About This Style

Old Ales are rich dark amber in color to a very dark brown, nearly black. Produced with high levels of dextrins, an Ole Ale posseses a full malt body. Bitter levels differ but this brew offers fruity intense malts and often a taste of raisins and black currants.

Food Pairing Notes: Cheese (buttery; Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Swiss)
