About This Style

Wee Heavy is also known as Scotch Ale. It is a more intense version of the Scottish Ales. While it is similar to a barley wine, the characteristics of the Wee Heavy are more in line with a malt profile.

Food Pairing Notes: Meat (Smoked Meat, Salmon), Cheese (buttery; Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Swiss)
