American Pale Wheat Ale

About This Style

The American Pale Wheat is a version of a German Hefe Weisen. With color ranging from pale to golden, this higher carbonation brew has a long-lasting head and a lighter body. The brewing process uses a large proportion of wheat malt. Bitterness is moderate, the hop essence will vary and most use neutral yeast for a purer fermentation and minimal diacetyl. Frequently served with a lemon wedge to reduce the wheat or yeast taste.
