Berliner Weissbier

About This Style

Berliner Weisse is a wheat beer that boasts a clean golden color appearance. When poured it has a quickly disappearing head but offers a tart, acidic citrus flavor edge without any hop bitterness. Top-fermented and bottle conditioned, this wheat beer is produced with lactobacillus cultures and warm fermenting yeasts. Often times syrups are added to offset the sourness.
