About This Style

Fruit Lambics include fruits in the brewing process. Typically these are added after the spontaneous fermentation has started. Fruits commonly used are cherries, raspberries, peaches and black currants. The beer takes on the fruit characters. Once the fruit is added, then beer then matures before it is bottled.
